Abstract Art

Abstract art is difficult to identify because it has unpredictable subjects and unpredictable colors, shapes and lines. Abstract art is created from inspiration as the vision of an artist that sees something and unconsciously thinks about nature. In abstract art, there is a greater understanding of the elements of art including line, shape, color, value, form, texture, balance, unity, rhythm and movement. These elements are the visual tools which I use to create a composition. I utilize the principles of art and design to create and effect and convey my intent. The principles of art used in these abstract creations include balance, contrast, emphasis, movement, pattern, rhythm, unity and variety.
