Location: From Northern Ireland Giant Causeway cliff

This oil painting was inspired from a visit to Ireland to the Giant Causeway. The Giant Causeway cliffs were formed from basal columns as a result of a giant volcanic eruption. This is a scene of an early morning light in County Antrim when a few rays of the sun help you discover as it streams through the white blanket of clouds.  The pillars from the Giants bring back memories of fables past about magic and magical creatures. The beautiful light of a clear blue sky has a color scheme of cool blues and Indian reds. Cool blues include Cerulean blue, Cobalt blue, Phthalo blue and Prussian blue. Greens, as the emerald hills of Ireland, include Emerald Green, Viridian and Phthalo Green. Alizarin Crimson and French Ultramarine blue were utilized to show receding mountains and the early morning shadows. Early light is a representation of the beauty of the Northern Irish coast at dawn.
